Leaflet distribution…Lock Up or Lose Out!

Our young people joined partnerships with West Yorkshire Police in delivering crime prevention leaflets in the Dewsbury Moor area. This was an area, not so far from our own, where residents had been reporting an increase in burglaries and thefts to cars and properties in the area. Raising funds for Kirklees DofE with a delicious Curry Corner!

One of the latest Kumon Y’all Girls’ projects was helping to raise money for Kirklees DofE. The girls’ business skills were put to the test, as determination, passion and commitment were used throughout the day, when persuading the customers to buy the delicious food. The Canal Cleanup

Kumon Y’all teamed up with Rebecca Dent from Canal River Trust to clean up the canal around the Savile locks.  It was a wonderful conservation project and the experience was enjoyed by everyone.  Our youth cleaned 20 bags full of waste from the canal that day! Eid Gift Giving

The girls youth group annually visit  a hospital Children’s ward where they give out presents to the less fortunate children. This year the girls decided to visit Pinderfields Hospital (Children’s ward). The girls spent many hours individually wrapping each present and were ready to spread smiles across the faces of many young children in that hospital. Helping the Homeless

The girls youth group volunteered one evening to dish out food packs in Leeds City Centre with another local  organisation Hands Together’. Despite the downpour of rain, it was a successful event where the girls gave out food and drinks to homeless people in Leeds. The young girls made contact with a local organisation already doing the work and agreed to volunteer one evening.
