River Calder Cleanup

On Saturday 3rd February 2018, we gathered at our local River Calder for a community cleanup. Near Thornhill road, by the weir, was dirty and littered with bottles and pieces of plastic among other things. War of the Roses…Cricket

War of the roses but not as you know it. On Saturday 17 September 2016 we had our second ‘Lets Unite’ event of the year at the Mirfield Monastery on Stocks Bank road. Eid Gift Giving

The girls youth group annually visit  a hospital Children’s ward where they give out presents to the less fortunate children. This year the girls decided to visit Pinderfields Hospital (Children’s ward). Amry Visit Mosque

On Wednesday 11th May 2016, army officials from the 4th Infantry Brigade visited Masjid Zakaria in Savile Town.  They were shown round the classrooms, prayer rooms, etc and were also introduced to the ritual washing Muslims do before prayer.
